Oh my goodness, this is so true. Every US DoD uniform or civilian staff has a unofficial position most refer to as -ahem- "POWERPOINT RANGER." Their only real job was to put hours into making these sort of spectacular box, jargon & spaghetti-line presentations. 1/4

Before there were NIPRNET email bandwidth limits, there was an escalating war of sound/graphical animations in presentations. When I retired, cloud drives were letting the "sound/graphical animation war" memory hog *.ppt files creep back into DoD Powerpoint presentationsπŸ™„πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ 2/4
Almost every uniformed US Military ally has paraphrased an old Robert Heinlein line about US officers being so busy building & watching Powerpoints that an enemy with a rock would be able to walk up behind them & bean them in the head. 3/4
They had a distinct point, if you look at 2020 US CENTCOM power points on the ability of Afghan security forces to hold out after the US military withdrawal in the six months before the actual fall of Kabul to the Taliban.🀯 4/4
