The Google UX Course is beginner friendly. You can audit the course if you don't need the certs, the cert comes with a fee. You can also apply for Financial aid, if you are considered, you'll get all the benefits. A thread on how to apply for financial aid

The course is hosted on Coursera. In Coursera, there's the Audit mode where you learn/view course materials for free, but you can't submit assignments, also you won't get any certificate. If you you can afford the certs, you can pay, learn and submit tasks.
The certificate costs $39 approx N16,770 at 1$- N430. The subscription is billed monthly. But you can decide to rush the course, do it in 2 months, so it will cost you $78. With normal pace, the course may last 4 to 6 months or more, so it may be $234 plus

If you believe you can’t afford to pay for ther Certs, you can apply for Financial Aid. You will be able to access all of the course content and complete all tasks required to earn the Certificates. You will answer questions about your career goals,
educational background, and financial circumstances. I have included a link to the two essays. 1. Why are you applying for Financial Aid? 2. How will taking this course help you achieve your career goals? Use it as a guide. docs.google.com/document/d/1Bs…
Make sure your application is over 150 words, applications below this minimum will not be accepted. It takes 15days for applications to be reviewed. While you wait for your application to be reviewed, you can begin the course in audit mode.
PS: The financial aid application will be canceled if you start a free-trial while it is being reviewed. Because Coursera will believe you have money. Don't opt for free trial, if you want to apply for the aid, always choose audit mode.
Not to worry, If you've started a free trial and still want your application to be reviewed for approval, you should cancel your subscription and re-apply once the free-trial ends.
Google UX Course is a specialization with 7 courses. Therefore, when you apply for financial aid, it will be only for the first course. You will need to submit separate applications for each new course as you go through the Specialization.
Here's a video on how to apply. m.youtube.com/watch?v=8wC_jT… Tag your friends. We are in this together, let's connect 🤝 #designtwitter #ux #uiux #uxdesigner
