A reminder that starting this Sunday (Sept. 25), there will only be one #TraditionalLatinMass in the District of Columbia - a 9:00am Sung Mass at the main altar of the Franciscan Monastery at 1400 Quincy St NE in Brookland. It's a new chapter in the life of the TLM in DC. 1/

For those who have never been to the Monastery, it is not too hard to get to: 1) Ample parking is available, both lots and off-street—but do try to fill up the lot behind St Anthony's Hall on 14th St. first, if you can (see attached map);... 2/

.... 2) Metro Bus 80 leaves the Brookland Metro Station at 8:16am and 8:40am with a dropoff right by the Monastery; or 3) it's a 14 minute walk up Otis St NE to 12th St to Quincy from the Brookland Metro. 3/

It is still unclear if confessions will be available before and during Mass every Sunday, but a serious effort is being by made by the clergy in the rotation to do this (and do it every Sunday); pray that their efforts are fruitful! 4/

We should also mention the other alternative TLM, just outside the Beltway, which will continue going forward: the 8:00am TLM at Old St John's in Silver Spring, right by the Forest Glen Metro. The TLM has been at Old St John's for three decades! Info:

These aside, some of our followers may even find that a few of the surviving TLM's (like St Rita's, or St John the Beloved) in the Diocese of Arlington may actually be more convenient. Fortunately, there's a new website with a complete directory of these:…
