A reminder that starting this Sunday (Sept. 25), there will only be one #TraditionalLatinMass in the District of Columbia - a 9:00am Sung Mass at the main altar of the Franciscan Monastery at 1400 Quincy St NE in Brookland.
It's a new chapter in the life of the TLM in DC. 1/
For those who have never been to the Monastery, it is not too hard to get to: 1) Ample parking is available, both lots and off-street—but do try to fill up the lot behind St Anthony's Hall on 14th St. first, if you can (see attached map);... 2/
.... 2) Metro Bus 80 leaves the Brookland Metro Station at 8:16am and 8:40am with a dropoff right by the Monastery; or 3) it's a 14 minute walk up Otis St NE to 12th St to Quincy from the Brookland Metro. 3/
It is still unclear if confessions will be available before and during Mass every Sunday, but a serious effort is being by made by the clergy in the rotation to do this (and do it every Sunday); pray that their efforts are fruitful! 4/
We should also mention the other alternative TLM, just outside the Beltway, which will continue going forward: the 8:00am TLM at Old St John's in Silver Spring, right by the Forest Glen Metro. The TLM has been at Old St John's for three decades!

These aside, some of our followers may even find that a few of the surviving TLM's (like St Rita's, or St John the Beloved) in the Diocese of Arlington may actually be more convenient. Fortunately, there's a new website with a complete directory of these:
