Today’s a big day – beavers are officially recognised as a native and protected species in England! Beavers are brilliant natural engineers and amazing at restoring wetlands – it is vital they are protected! wildlifetrusts.org/news/historic-… (1/5)

The new Brexit Freedoms Bill could sweep away environmental regulations that protect wildlife and wild places. Beavers and other wildlife are protected by the Habitat Regulations, which originated in EU law – all of which are going to be reviewed by the end of 2023 ☹ (3/5)
