As a YouTube Video Editor, Maintaining good Retention Rates in clients' videos is My Job. Here are 7 Video Editing Tricks I use to Hook viewers to my Videos: (Tutorials and Free Resources Included)

1. Intro The majority of the audience quit your video in the First 20 seconds. To tackle that, you have to make your intro as much Promising and Engaging as Possible. Watch this short video by Niklas Christl, He adds more than 15 inserts in less than 30 seconds👇
2. Texts Reading On-Screen texts requires viewers' active focus, Which actually hooks the viewer to watch more of it subconsciously. That's why big names like: Dakota Robertson and Alex Hormozi always use Bold Subtitles in their Video. Have a look👇
3. Jump Cuts and Ken Burns Bring life to your A-Rolls by scaling in and out constantly. Zoom- 110% Zoom out- 100% Ken Burns - zoom Use Jump Cuts with Ken Burns and trick viewers' eyes to think Those are different camera angles and movements. Here's a short tutorial👇
4. B-Rolls You aren't giving a speech, you're making a YouTube video. People are gonna get bored of watching you, And to cover that up, You need to keep adding "relevant" b-rolls every now and then. Comment "B Roll" and I'll write a thread about how to get free b-rolls.
5. Sound Effects Don't just let them see what's happening, let them hear that too. Simple sound effects like "click", "whoosh", and "bass" can add life to your lower thirds and b-rolls. Can you identify all the sounds used in this short clip? (I bet you can't)
6. Short Animations I know it's time-consuming and not everyone can deal with keyframes, But believe me, it provides the highest ROI. Learn to animate short clips like this and that will make you extraordinary👇 (If you want I can make a short tutorial too)
7. Good Music Here comes the toughest part. How to find Good-Copyright-Free music for your videos? Here are some free resources: 1. YouTube Music Library 2. Pixabay. com 3. Soundcloud. com (stop using "On And On" on every fu*cking video🙏)
8. Bonus Tip Just make sure you don't run away from putting in the efforts. It took me 6 hours to assemble this thread and record these clips that you see. Small efforts like these are gonna make your content unique and better. It's hard but It's Worth It
TL;DR To make people watch the whole video: 1. Improve Intro 2. Add Texts 3. Add Jump Cuts 4. Add B-Rolls 5. Use Sound Effects 6. Add Short Animations 7. Use Good Music
Using these 7 tricks will get you more views and hence Grow your YouTube channel in no time. 1. Follow @Sayujya Gupta for more YouTube and Video Editing Tricks 2. Retweet the 1st tweet below to share this thread with your YouTuber friends. twitter.com/GuptaSayujya/s…
