How I validated a product idea and collected ~1K in pre-sales.
I got a product idea by talking to people over time.
And the problem to solve was one of my itches.
But I wasn't sure if it was worth investing in.
I kept the project in the drawer for a while.
I talked about it a little bit in public on Twitter, but not much else.
One day I noticed @Simon Høiberg's pre-launch campaign and decided to take immediate action.
I built a simple but eye-catching landing page.
I described the features of the product.
At the of the page, a call to action.
Early Bird offer, pre-launch price, pay once, access forever (LTD).
What tools did I use?
Landing page: React + ChakraUI + NextJS
Payments: Paddle
Email: MailChimp
Quite easy, but use whatever you're comfortable with (Softr, Carrd, Stripe...).
I started a campaign on Twitter.
Every day for 1 week, I posted a tweet highlighting one of the features of the product.
The second tweet was sponsoring the LTD offer.

I always felt annoyed when Twitter marked as read a conversation, just because I opened it.
This leads to lost conversations, and opportunities.
That's why I built @InboxsHQ to solve this and other problems on Twitter DMs.
Final results
20 licenses sold
~$1k collected
Conversion rate: 6%
