I lost my first Twitter account at 400+ followers, so I had to start again from scratch. It took me 49 days to go from 0-1,000 followers. If I have to do it again, here's the game plan that'll take me to 1,000 followers in less than 49 days.

1. Set my goal: > what do I want to achieve on Twitter? > Who are my ideal followers? > Where can I find them? 2. Identify my niche: > What do I want to be known for? > What do I want to talk about every day? These will form the foundation of my content

2. Optimize my profile > Headshot profile pic or brand logo > A banner that communicates my services > Bio that tells my potential client what they stand to benefit

I can find out what works by testing with birdy.so Profile pic and banner will have complementary colors

The next step is to start building my audience. Tweeting at this point will be like talking to myself, no one can see my content. So my best strategy will be to engage other people's content. Who?

I will pick 30-50 big accounts that have the audience I want, follow them, and turn on notifications At <100 followers, my target would be: > 80 comments daily > 1 tweet daily > 5 DMs daily

At 100-500 followers, my strategy will shift to: > 80 comments daily > 2 tweets daily > 1 thread weekly > 1 space weekly Above 500 followers, I'll add is an extra tweet daily. This should take me to 1,000 followers

How will I make 80 comments daily? 1. I'll target when those "big accounts" drop their content and I'll be among the first 3 to drop a comment 2. I'll plan this and make time for it: 1hr in AM and 1hr in the PM should suffice 3. I'll comment intelligently or not at all.

4. Twitter is a SM platform, so, I'll be social, friendly, and relatable when need be. 5. My comment will always correlate with the content. 6. I'll skip when I have nothing meaningful to add. 7. I'll be respectful. and courteous.

DM is the powerhouse of twitter...it's where valuable friendships are made. These will be my DM plan: 1. Observe first 2. Find a genuine reason to send a DM 3. Engage their content multiple times 4. Start by genuinely appreciating their content that I love

5. Leverage an existing relationship if need be 6. Lead with value that: > Makes them money > Makes them smarter > Makes them laugh/smile > Helps them save money/time

The goal is to establish a relationship not to ask for a favor. If it doesn't stick, I won't sweat it. I move on.
