If bear not friend, then why friend shaped??? Seeing a bear in the wild is a special treat. While it’s exciting, it’s important to remember that bears in parks, no matter how cute or floofy their ears look, are wild. BTW, What do you call a bear without an ear? A “B.” 🐑🥁🐍

Three views of bear ears from Katmai National Park & Preserve.
🐻 When you arrive in a park that has bears, always remember to check with the nearest visitor center or backcountry office for the latest bear safety information.
🐻 Most bears will avoid humans if they hear them coming. You loud. (Which can be a good thing.) Pay attention to your surroundings and make an effort to be noticeable if you’re in an area known for bear activity (Really? That hat?).
