Why is Lemon Diya offered to Durga Devi : READ ॐ दुर्गायै नमः

Durga ma is Jagat Janani, who protects us from all evils. Many rituals are followed in Devi temples important among them is offering Lemon/Lime diya. It is an age old offering during Rahu Kal, Durga Devi is Ugra Devi, to cool her this offering is done.

Durga Devi is called Navagraha Nayagi, so whoever prays to her during Rahu Kaalam will not suffer from any doshas. Friday's are considered to be auspicious for worshipping Durga Devi. Offering a garland made of lemon & lemon diya is an age old practice done to please Durga Devi

A lemon diya can increase the positive vibrations & also have the power to drive away evil forces. Squeeze a lime fully & invert the lemon. Fill it with oil & insert a wick and light the lamp. If you do it during Rahu kaal, Friday's timing is 10.30 AM to 12.

Consecutive 9 weeks if offered, all our wishes will come true with Devi's blessings. To get rid of Rahu dosha this practice will be helpful. It is advised to light lemon diyas only at temple's and not in our homes. In homes Ghee Lamp can be offered during Rahu Kaalam
