today's cetacean is orca/killer whale (orcinus orca)!! they are the largest member of the oceanic dolphin family, and can be found in every ocean in the world!!

orcas reach up to 8 metres in lenght and weigh up to 6 tonnes. these magnificent creatures are apex predators, meaning they are on top of the food chain.
orcas develop social structures just as complex as elephants and simians!! some of these cetaceans stay with their mothers for their entire lives, forming groups called pods. pods are one of the most stable animal groups out of any species.
it is quite likely for specific orca groups to have their own hunting techniques and ways of vocal communication!! these methods are often passed across generations. i think this is a wonderful example of animal culture!!
and lastly i would just like to add that baby orcas' skin is peachy orange when it is still developing its thickness!! i think they look very cool like that
