Pages of the Glorious Qur'ān today. Sūrah al-'An'ām (6): 91 - 118. Tafakkur (Reflection) verse 94.

"And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed upon you behind you. And We do not see with you your 'intercessors' which you claimed that they were among you associates [of Allah ]...
..It has [all] been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to claim." Q6: 94. Every human being is born into this world naked, having absolutely nothing. With Allah's grace and provisions, we acquire what we acquire. On our return to Him, we leave it all behind.
From what we claim to own after birth are material & immaterial things. The immaterial includes our souls, love, hate, desires etc. The material includes houses, cars, shoes, clothes etc.,. In reality, we own nothing, only Allah owns all. We are only allowed temporary claims.
A Muslim must therefore understand that every dominion, status, wealth or power he or she has is only given to be owned and managed by him/her for a very short time. The real Owner - Allah will eventually take possession and ask everyone how he/she has used the blessings.
A Muslim must never be swayed by the desire to impress others against the will of Allah. He or she must never fall into acts of Shirk for wanting a better life or feeling that being a sincere Muslim who associates none with Allah is insufficient for a good life on earth.
Those we want to impress by the lifestyle that we chose against the command of Allah will not be able to either save us or themselves against the torment of the grave or Jahannam. The idolized items and individuals are powerless here and in the hereafter. We must live for Allah.
In the end, what we truly own in wealth, health or status are those we spend for the cause of goodness and obedience to Allah. Intercession would be achieved only through the time, wealth or efforts we expended on righteousness. Hence, we must use the best of it all in goodness.
We ask Allah with His mercy & grace to forgive our sins, erase our misdeeds, conceal our faults on earth in the hereafter, enrich us with wealth, health and positions that would help us achieve His mercy and Jannah. We seek protection against His anger and against Jahannam. Āmīn.
