I like using acrylic paint when I want bright colors

I like using oil paint when I want emphasis on shadow and light.
I like using oil and acrylic together when I want balance and depth between patterns and the figure.
I like painting structures and people in flat shapes to get a sense of community.
The next phase in my career is working with blue chip galleries but they keep saying I need to pick one style. I think I can prove you can have a solid body of work that comes together without painting the same repetitive style. I’ll show you guys at my show this summer
It seems my whole career might be just proving people wrong. I’m learning to accept it and I guess that’s what makes it exciting although draining. I just don’t like being put in a labeled box
