Jeongguk nods for Seokjin to continue. “But I’m not 𝘵𝘩𝘦 God.” “𝘛𝘩𝘦 God?” “Yes. We call it Creator-” “Wait, wait, wait,” Jeongguk frowns and interrupts Seokjin. “Who are 𝘸𝘦?” Seokjin pauses. “Uhm, me and the others…?”

Jeongguk rolls his eyes. “Who are you referring to?” “Me and the other Gods. I told you before, there are other gods like me. Like, I am God of Love, Jimin is God of Beauty, Israel is God of War— But it would be better if we don't talk about them right now. You may be confused.”

Jeongguk blinks. “Yes, I agree.” “What I mean is, I have to do what I’m told. I may be God but that doesn't mean I can do whatever I want, unfortunately,” He sounds sad, like he's in pain. But he continues.

“I don’t make people fall in love with each other randomly. Well, and it's not /exactly/ that I'm making them fall in love with each other. That’s… complicated.” Jeongguk tries to make sense of all the information he's just heard.

“And sometimes it doesn't work. That’s not magic, after all.” Seokjin continues. “Sometimes they just… they don’t fall in love. Or they fall out of love. I can’t control their feelings or their thoughts about each other.”

Jeongguk appears confused. “What do you mean? But in the first place, you make them fall in love with each other, right?”

“In theory, yes. But… I told you, it’s complicated. Also… I don't always make two people fall in love with each other.” Seokjin pauses for a moment. “Let’s say we have person A and B, okay? Sometimes I just make person A fall in love with person B. Or vice versa. ”

Seokjin chuckles. “Well, that’s why I didn't tell you anything but the basics. You get confused when you try to understand. But it’s okay. In time you will understand, I think.” When Jeongguk doesn't say anything, Seokjin continues. “Is there anything you want to ask?”

Jeongguk nods. “Why don't they fall in love or fall out of love? Is there a specific reason?” “No… But I can tell you that there is such a thing as destiny. Nothing in life is a coincidence. If something happened, it 𝘩𝘢𝘥 to happen. Nothing you live is in vain. Believe that.”

Seokjin ends his speech and sees Jeongguk staring at him with widened eyes. Seokjin sighs. “You're even more confused, aren't you?” Jeongguk bites his lip. “Yes…”
