Expect, Jimin doesn't. He doesn't know how he will convince his friend to get married at the age of just 26. Yoongi will never agree to it.

"I'm tired of asking him, if he likes someone!" Yoongi's mom says over the phone. And Jimin knows that she must be having a frown on her face right now. Just like Yoongi, when he rants to him. "But that guy just won't tell me anything about it! Always dodging-

-my questions! Now, I'm at a point where I think that maybe he doesn't have a lover! And he is just hesitant to say that to me..." And Jimin wonders, if that's the case. As far he knows, Yoongi doesn't have a lover. Or maybe he does but Jimin doesn't know about it.

Somehow, the piece of knowledge irks Jimin for some reason. He and Yoongi have been friends for so many years and knows each pretty well. So, the possibility of Yoongi having someone in his life while Jimin is not aware of it, doesn't sit well with him.

Especially, since Yoongi knows everything about Jimin. Jimin had always made sure to share about his life with Yoongi because that is how it should be. Yoongi knows about the secrets that even Jimin's parents doesn't know. Even the fact that Jimin is dating Taemin.

"Jiminie...? Are you listening to me?" That breaks the chain of thoughts Jimin was having. "Yes yes auntie... I don't think hyung likes someone..." A name flashes in his thoughts. "But if he does, then I will convince him to share it with you!" He says, in assurance.

"Although, I don't know if hyung will agree for a marriage... But we can always try, right??" "Ah Jiminie... You are my only hope! Seriously! I don't trust anyone else when it comes to Yoongi. I know you will not let down this old lady..." "Auntie..." "Fine, I won't say it..."

Jimin smiles when he hears chuckles from the other side. They both talk for some more time, gossiping about everything before Jimin cuts the call after making sure Yoongi's mom is not stressed like before. Then with a sigh, Jimin picks up his phone to send a text to Yoongi-

On the other side of the city, someone sighs when he recieve the text. For, he know what it is about and how much he doesn't want to fake it. Yoongi just want to stop pretending. He just wants to stop falling.

Jimin checks his watch in every second to see the time. He is sitting in a cafe, waiting for his friend to show up. Yoongi is 20 minutes late. Which is a very unusual thing to happen. It is always Jimin who is running late. It's always him saying sorry everytime they meet and-

-apologising to the elder. Because, punctuality has always been a Yoongi thing. Then, Jimin wonders what happened for Yoongi to be this late. As an answer to his question, Jimin finds Yoongi entering the cafe and making his way to him.

Yoongi smiles at the younger as he sits on the opposite side of him. "Why are you so late today...?" Jimin asks, looking at the menu in front of him. "I decided to take your role today!" Yoongi says, jokingly and Jimin rolls his eyes at the joke which was anything but funny.

Jimin frowns when Yoongi fidgeted with his hands. To him, it seems like Yoongi was bothered about something. "Are you alright, hyung...?" "Ah what? Yes yes!" Yoongi says with a smile on his face. Jimin frowns deeper.

"I'm alright, Jiminah... Don't worry!" Yoongi says, calmly. Jimin decides to drop the topic for now and focuses on the real issue. "Hyung, auntie wants you to get married!" He says, straightforwardly. "Right now?! Okay, where are the papers?!" Jimin gives Yoongi a bored look.

"Seriously, what is wrong with you today...?" Jimin says with a grimace on his face. "Why are you making such unfunny jokes...?" "Just because you don't find them funny, doesn't mean they are not." "Nobody finds your jokes funny!" "Not anyone that you are aware of!"

Those words makes Jimin think again on his suspicion. Yoongi is trying to hide something. He wonders, if there is really someone in Yoongi's life that he is not aware of? "Stop joking, hyung! Tell me, honestly... Is there something you are hiding? Or more like... Someone?"

"You sound exactly like those gossiping news reporters waiting for a spicy news!" Yoongi laughs when Jimin throws a tissue at him. "I don't know what you are trying to imply, but I don't want to get married. I said the same thing to my mom and you should tell her the same!"

"But why???" Jimin pouts. Yoongi doesn't look at him and moves his eyes around the cafe. "What do you mean by why, Jiminah? I'm just 26. I don't need to get married at such young age." "But hyung-" "Beside that... Why are you so interested in getting me married...?"

Yoongi smirks when Jimin frowns at him. "I promised auntie that I will talk to you about this and I want to give her a postive reply only!" "That sounds like a you problem!" Yoongi snorts. "Unless..." He wiggles his eyebrows. "you want to get married to me!"

Yoongi says, jokingly. Except, it's not a joke. Every joke carries a little bit of truth in it. "Haha you wish!" Jimin says, mockingly. And it's true. Yoongi could only wish. But, Jimin doesn't need to know that.

"Marriage is nothing but a trap, Jiminah..." Yoongi says, looking at the younger, quite seriously. "It is a way to trap you in the hold of this capitalist society." Jimin rolls his eyes. "I swear... If you start with your useless lecture on this topic again..."

"Then don't bring it up again." Yoongi says, shrugging. "If you stop talking about it, I will also stop my discussion on how it's nothing but a way of society to control it's beings. The way it tries to earn money from-" "Hyunggggg" Jimin lightly hits the table in annoyance.

"Can you please stop talking sh¡t?! You are a music producer and not social media influencer with a conspiracy theory account!" "That idea is actually not bad..." Yoongi nods like he is considering about it. "I could actually make one just to save lives from the vicious cycle-"

"Say one more word, Min Yoongi and you are done." Jimin says, voice threatening. "And the honourifics flew out of the window shoo..." "If you want respect then shut up and just answer my question! Are you dating someone...? If yes, then who is it..?"

Yoongi doesn't anything for a few seconds, just looks at Jimin. He wants to say a lot but he knows he shouldn't. Not now not ever. "What if I am...?" Yoongi says, smirking. "I don't see why I need to tell you about it though..." Something tugs Yoongi's heart when Jimin pouts.

"Because I'm your friend! I have every right to know who my friend is dating! You don't have to get married to that person but at least you could tell me..." Jimin juts his lower lip. "I won't tell this to anyone, hyung... Not even to your mom!"

"That is the most stupidest argument ever and you know it too" Yoongi snorts. "But you know everything about me!" "Yes, because you talk a lot!" "And you don't!" Jimin bites back. "You like keeping secrets and hiding things!" And only Yoongi knows how much Jimin is not ready.

He knows how much Jimin is not ready for his intense words. Or the emotions that are engulfing him for years now. The feelings that sometimes suffocates him in it's hold, as it gets tough for him to get out of it. Nobody really knows. Except, one person.

"Jiminah..." Yoongi tries to divert the topic. He already feels dread seeping inside him. "Let's not talk about this right now. Please...?" He sees Jimin taking a deep sigh before the younger is diving into the food that was served to them, while they were bantering.

Yoongi feels glad and relieved when they both engage in a conversation and not once, Jimin tries to bring up the topic again. For now, Yoongi can pretend. For now, he can pretend that everything is fine as he makes Jimin laugh at something.

But he doesn't know for how long he can pretend. Maybe, not too long when they both hear Jimin's phone ringing. Jimin smiles and Yoongi stares at the name that flashes on the screen. Taemin. Jimin's boyfriend and Yoongi's bitter reality.

Yoongi is once again reminded that falling is not easy when you know you won't be saved. That night, when Jimin goes on a date with his boyfriend, Yoongi creates another beat. As, Jimin is in love with someone who sings love songs and Yoongi only writes sad ones.

Yoongi looks around the equipments in the room. He is waiting for the singer to show up and also trying to avoid the piece of paper in front of him. Somehow, it makes him anxious.

He spent all the night writing lines on the same paper. Anything, to decrease the intensity of the emotions that he feels. Anything to distract himself. He tried to find comfort in his own words. Anything, to not think about Jimin.

But right now, as the sun shines through the dark, Yoongi can't seem to bring himself to look into what he wrote. His words of darkness makes him feel anxious in the light. So, he patiently waits for the familiar face to show up at his studio and save himself from his misery.

And then there is a knock on his door before it's getting opened. A person enters just like warm sunrays on a rainy day. Taehyung. Yoongi looks up from his computer to see the smile the younger treats him with. If Yoongi is a sunflower then Taehyung is his sun.

Taehyung looks at the pages. The lines written in those. The handwriting looks rushed and some lines are blurry because of the water. He knows those are tears. Yoongi's tears. He reads through it and then looks back at Yoongi with a blank face.

"Did you even sleep at all last night?" Taehyung asks, voice void of any emotions. Yoongi turns to look at the computer instead. "Just focus on the melody and sing those lines, Taehyung." "We will have to talk about this..." Taehyung turns to mic when Yoongi hums in response.

Taehyung opens his eyes when it gets harder for his eyes to remain closed. The past that never leaves him, is at its prime when he's singing. He doesn't want to think of that one face he always want to see so badly. He looks at Yoongi through the glass.

Jimin checks his phone after practice to see a ton of notifications popping up the screen. He smiles when he sees the messages from his boyfriend. 'meet me at the cafe. something imp to tell you! xx'

Falling for Taemin was so easy. Jimin thinks as he sits in front of his boyfriend as the latter rants about everything that is going on in his life. Jimin knows that his face has this fond smile and he is not afraid of showing it as well.

He thinks of the way he met Taemin for the first time. It was their Freshers party and Jimin knows how he felt those butterflies in his stomach the first time they both talked. It only increased ten fold when Taemin asked him out after a few months.

Dating Taemin was never difficult, except if he overlook some things. Jimin always loved to be in the crowd and they had that in common just like a lot of common things between them but Jimin doesn't like the tag they carry around in the college. 'The Power Couple.'

He doesn't like the way how their every action of affection towards each other is a part of the college gossip pages. It was because Taemin belonged to a really rich family. Everyone wanted to be with him but he chose to be with Jimin. Therefore, everything was publicized.

It irked Jimin but he was happy to be with his boyfriend so he thought that's enough. Taemin never treated him like he is not enough and Jimin was happy with it. He keeps smiling at his boyfriend when the latter frets about the audition he will face in a few days.

"Babe, I don't know how I will do this..." Taemin says, visibly anxious. "It's a big company and there will be a lot of other people there... I don't know-" "I know you'll do great!" Jimin says, holding his boyfriend's hand. "You have worked hard for this day and I know you-

-will do your best!" He gives Taemin an encouraging smile. Taemin has been working to be an idol and Jimin knows how much he needs his support. He is happy to be there for his boyfriend and hopes Taemin passes the audition. "I hope I do..." Taemin says, less confident.

"And then you will take me out for a dinner in some fancy restaurant! You know where those rich people go...?" Jimin teases and smiles when he sees that he managed to make Taemin smile. "I can promise you that... I will." Taemin says holding Jimin's hand.

"I don't know what I will do without you babe..." Taemin says, voice sincere. "And where am I going...?" Jimin snorts. "I'll stay beside you, I'm going nowhere!"

"Hyung, what is it this time...?" Taehyung says, resting his head against Yoongi's shoulder. He sips from his drink. They both are sitting inside Yoongi's flat. Yoongi chuckles. "He wants me to get married."

"What?!" Taehyung whips his head around quickly to look at the elder. "He wants what...?" There is a look of disbelief on his face. "Apparently, Eomma called him and asked him if he could just persuade me to get married to somebody."

Yoongi says and laughs when Taehyung looks as if he ate something disgusting. "And why does he thinks you will get married? At this young age? Unless, you are out of your mind??" "Tae, you know how Eomma has been feeling, right...?"

"But that doesn't mean that you need to get married now, hyung..." Taehyung says, unsure of his own words. "I have not even proposed to you yet!" He says with a pout on his face. Yoongi smiles at Taehyung's antics. "Min Yoongi marry me!"

Yoongi laughs loudly this time. Taehyung makes an irritated sound when his Yoongi tries to get away from him. He wraps his arms around Yoongi's biceps and forces the latter to stay in his position, resting his head on Yoongi's shoulder again.

"Ah no not this again!" Yoongi fakes annoyance, trying to get away from Taehyung but makes no real efforts to move. "I'm not going to date you, Taehyung!" "Buy whyyyy...?" Taehyung whines. "Because we shouldn't!" Yoongi says with a amused chuckle.

"And why is that so?!" Taehyung asks, pout never leaving his face. "Why can't we date each other?!" He rests his chin on the elder's shoulder. "Because you are in love with someone and that someone is not me."

Yoongi sees the exact moment Taehyung's expressions changes. He sees the way the playfulness leaves the latter and it gives way to something sad. Yoongi sighs. "Tae I-" "Naa, it's alright hyung." Taehyung gives him a small smile.

Yoongi knows it's fake. The way Taehyung tries to smile, it's so fake and the latter is still trying. Just like with his life. "Tae... You know it's not your fault right...? It's not your fault that you still love him. It will never be your fault."

"I know hyung..." Taehyung smiles, looking over Yoongi's shoulder. "Wish it was... wish it was nothing but a fault so that I can just curse at him for loving him and move on..." He looks troubled, turning to face Yoongi. "Why do I have to fall for him...?"

"Why my heart still wants him, hyung...? Why can't it just accept the fact that there is nothing between me and-" Taehyung stops. "And Jungkook..." Yoongi says with a sad smile. Taehyung takes a sharp breath. "Why can't I just accept the fact that there will be nothing..."

"There can be nothing between me and him! We don't have a future with each other then why can't I just-" Taehyung chokes on his own words. "Because you can't move on from him..." Yoongi adds. "No, because I /don't/ want to move on from him..."

Taehyung easily lets himself go when Yoongi pulls him in a hug. He cries against Yoongi's chest. "Because my stupid heart can't move on! Because it wants him and him only! Because everytime I try to move on, it brings me back to the same place. A place where I only see his face!"

"In every stranger, every smile, every touch... I feel him... I long his touch like I'm starved for days... In every person who approaches me, I see Jungkook-" Taehyung curses for saying the name of his ex-lover. "I can't go out with someone and not compare them with him!"

Taehyung moves back to look at Yoongi. Yoongi notices how those eyes are red, tears easily falling out. "Why can't I just love someone like-" Taehyung smiles. "Like you...? Why I can't just fall in love with you instead...? It will be so easy to love you, hyung... then why-"

"Because love is not easy, Tae..." Yoongi wipes the younger's tears. "Anything but easy. Loving someone is not easy Tae... And if someone thinks that's easy to love then they probably never tried falling out of love..."

Jımın waits for his boyfriend as he sits in their favourite restaurant. It's been long since he last saw the latter but he perks up when Tɑemin had called him to meet him.

Tɑemin had been so busy because of his training that Jımın had hardly seen him. Jımın doesn't feel really good about it but he also knows that it's because the other has a career ahead of himself and he needs to work for it. After all, it's s for their future only.

So, he waits. As Tɑemin is once again late, it gives Jımın ample time to overthink. He thinks of the way the stares at Uni are irritating him more than usual now that Tɑemin is busy and not with him.

Everyday, Jımın tries his best to not overhear every conversation about him but somehow he's always the topic of every conversation. All of those conversations were about how he and his boyfriend will soon break-up now that the other will become an idol.

Jımın stops thinking when spots Tɑemin and he smiles when he sees the excitement in his boyfriend's face. "You look happy..." He says, finding himself smiling more at the other. "I'm seeing you, of course I'm happy!"

"Is that so...?" Jımın tries not to blush. "I already ordered your favourite." He says and he sees the other taking the menu in his hands. Tɑemin grins.

They soon get lost in a conversation before Tɑemin says, "I actually have something to share with you..." He sounds nervous. Jımın frowns. "What is it...? Everything alright??" "It's actually about us."

Jımın feels uneasy. Something doesn't feel right. "It's not something serious just-" His boyfriend looks anywhere but at him. "My company doesn't want me to date anyone." "We are in a relationship." Jımın murmers.

"I know- I told them about it. I-" "Is it your way of breaking up with me...?" Jımın tries to not show his emotions as he asks that. He already feels his heart breaking. "Oh no no! Not at all, babe!" Tɑemin holds Jımın's hands in his. "I won't break up with you!"

"I don't want to break-up with you. I told them the same and they asked me to keep it as a secret if I want to continue..." "You want to hide our relationship...?" "For the time being, yes. I want you to be with me and I don't know how I can keep you with me-"

"It's alright, calm down..." Jımın smiles at his boyfriend. He sees the way the other was getting more and more nervous. He knows how much Tɑemin values their relationship and if there is something he can do to keep it safe then he should.

But there is something nagging him. A thought so loud that it overpowers his senses for a second. Something which tells him- '𝑇𝘩𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑎 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑑𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛...'

He shakes his head and turns to face Tɑemin and smiles at him. "We can keep it as a secret. It's not like I want people to talk about relationship, anyway. I know how much this whole thing means for you and I'll be here for you..." He smiles when Tɑemin kisses his hand.

As soon as Jımın leaves the place, he calls Yoongı. He doesn't know what it is but something bothers him. He gets back home only to see Yoongı already waiting for him there.

"Are you okay with your relationship being a secret...?" Yoongı asks, as he sips from the tea he prepared himself for the both of them. "Hyung, you know how much this whole thing means to him and I know for his dream to come true, he has to keep our relationship a secret."

"No Jımınah, I don't know." Yoongı says, face indicating nothing. "I don't know him so I don't know what he wants. I'm asking you. What do /you/ want...?"

Jımın looks troubled. What does he want? He doesn't know. "I just want him to be happy, hyung..." Yoongı smiles at him. Jımın notices the way the smile doesn't reach his eyes. There is something hiding behind those eyes and Jımın doesn't know what it is.

"Then, just listen to your heart and don't worry about anything else for now." Yoongı gets up to leave before Jımın stops him. "But-" He doesn't know what but something bothers him and he needs to say it. "I'm not sure..."

He takes a deep sigh when Yoongı again sits beside him. "I don't know why but something doesn't feel right. Like, I want him to achieve everything and I know that this is his dream but-" He looks at Yoongı, hoping Yoongı gets him. "What if it doesn't work out...?"

"What if soon he realises that it's not worth it? That our relationship is not worth taking the risk? What if he gets tired-" He gulps. "tired of me...? Of us..." "You are not a burden, Jiminah." Yoongı says, firmly.

"Do you think that if you were a burden then he would even suggest something like this...? He could've easily considered a break-up. But he didn't. What does it tells you...?" Jımın smiles. He moves closer to Yoongı. "He loves me..." He looks at Yoongı. "He loves me, hyung."

Yoongı hears the crack he is so used to. Everytime, Jımın confesses his love for someone else, looking at him- He falls. He is falling. He wants to scream "why don't you fall into me...?"

"Who wouldn't love you, Jiminah...?" Yoongı asks and smiles when the younger groans in annoyance. "Shut up! I'm not that special!" "I would like to disagree." "Are you also in love with me, then...?"

"Obviously! Or else why would I still be single...?!" Jımın laughs but soon finds himself losing his smile when he looks at Yoongı's face.

They both stare at each other for a whole minute. Jımın feels himself getting restless but then Yoongı finally starts laughing. "Hyungggg" He says in annoyance. He could hear his own beating heart. "I'm sorry, I was just joking!" Yoongı tries to control his laugh.

"Look at your face! It looks like you saw a ghost or something." Yoongı points out when Jimin pouts in response. "Don't ever say something like that again!" "I won't. I still love you though." "And I love you too!" Jımın says, smiling.

"I'll leave then. I have some work in the studio." Yoongı gets up to leave. "Or are you secretly dating someone and going to meet them...?" Jımın asks, teasingly. "Stop being my mom's PA." He leaves and smiles when he hears Jımın laughing behind him.

Yoongı leaves the building and stops when his phone starts ringing. He fishes out his phone from his back pocket and frowns when he sees the caller ID.

Tɑehyung blinks. "He- he is coming back...?" Yoongı takes a deep sign. "Yes. He called me a few hours ago and told me about it. After all, he is done with his studies so there is no reason for him to stay abroad."

"Okay." "Okay?" Yoongı looks at the other. He tries to look past Tɑehyung's blank face. "You are okay with it...?" "Why wouldn't I be okay with it?" Tɑehyung looks around his shoulder. "It's his life, he can do whatever he wants to."

Yoongı nods at him. "So, you want to come with me to the airport...? He grimaces. "I have to go so..." "No." Tɑehyung says without missing a beat. Yoongı sees it all. And he doesn't want to but he still says, "Jungkook asked you. He asked if you'll be there..."

Yoongı takes a step towards the younger when Tɑehyung doesn't say anything. "You can say no, Tae..." He whispers. "No. I don't want to see his face. I don't want to see him hyung...?" The younger looks at him, expectedly.

Yoongı knows what it means. It's Tɑehyung's way of telling him to stop him from doing something stupid. It's his way of let Yoongı decide for him so that he doesn't end up hurting himself. It's a kind of pleading. Tɑehyung's way of using Yoongı as a shield.

Yoongı nods at him. "You don't have to accompany me. I'll go alone." He pats the younger's back in encouragement. "He will come back tomorrow so go home now." And Tɑehyung doesn't protest. He doesn't ask why is Yoongı sending him home. He just leaves.

Tɑehyung closes the door behind himself and takes a deep breath. "I can do this I can do this I can do this..." He repeats to himself. "It doesn't bother me It doesn't bother me it doesn't bother me..." He goes to sit on the bed. "Forget it forget it forget it..."

Tɑehyung doesn't sleep the whole night. He didn't try to as well. He doesn't know why he gets up the next morning and drives to the airport. He gets out of the car and tells himself to go back home. But he wants to see Jungkook.

Tɑehyung wants to see Jungkook's smile. He wants to see the other talk. He wants to hear that Jungkook missed him too. He battles with himself when his heart tells him to stay and his mind tells him to run away.

Tɑehyung knows that whenever he did what his heart told him to, it only hurt him. He knows it's a bad decision. But he can't look back, eyes searching for the familiar face among the crowd. What if Jungkook looks for him...?

He spots Yoongı standing from a distance. The latter has his back turned to him and Tɑehyung is glad about it. He doesn't want Yoongı to see him there. He starts feeling guilty. Like, he is doing something he's not supposed to do.

Before Tɑehyung can think about it, he spots Jungkook. His heart beats quicken. He knows he's not blinking. Jungkook smiles at Yoongı and then turns to the man beside him. The latter wraps his arm around Jungkook's waist which makes Jungkook smile bigger. Tɑehyung freezes.

He blinks rapidly. He feels his eyes getting blurred before he takes a step back and turns around to leave. He doesn't cry, he pictures Jungkook's smiling face. '𝐻𝑒 𝑠𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒𝑑, 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑚𝑒...'
