First-time course creators tend to overprice. They come in toward the higher end of the spectrum ($500+). They should align with high-probability pricing ($150). Here's why:

Impulse Buy Pricing: Finding a price that says, "I can pull the trigger" without saying, "This is too cheap to be good" is a tough spot. $150 has proven (for me) to be a perfect price that does both. It's tough to "pull the trigger" on $997. Also...
Word of Mouth Referral: WOM is one of the most powerful tools in a creator's toolbox. Sure, you might (once in a great while) recommend something that's $997, but it's not easy. But $150? Much easier. This has led to 1,500+ affiliate sales worth over $200,000 for me.
Global Adoption: At $150, you can introduce PPP (Purchase Power Parity) to reduce cost by 20% to 60% across the globe. Access is a good thing, not a bad thing. I have over 3,500 students from across the world. More WOM, more people talking about it, more purchases.
In tomorrow's newsletter, I'm going to break down my entire pricing strategy for 80,000+ subscribers. You can sign up to read it here: justinwelsh.me/the-saturday-s…
Here's an example of what Impulse buy + overdelivering looks like (and why it matters).
