I'M NOT IMPRESSED, SAYS AKEREDOLU ON VOTER TURNOUT
Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo state governor, says he is not impressed with the voter turnout. He spoke after casting his vote in ward 5, unit 6, ljebu Owo, his home town.
“Well, I am not too impressed yet with the turnout but I expect that many people will come out," he said. "But we need to be larger than this, I have always voted here. But I know that people are going to come out."
There are reports of thugs allegedly disrupting the voting process in some parts of Lagos. TheCable is however unable to independently confirm the situation at the affected polling units.

There were incidents of malfunctions by the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in several polling units.
While the official figures are yet to be released, there was a considerably high turnout of voters in many parts of the country.
Incidents of voter intimidation were recorded in some states, especially Lagos.
The exercise has been largely peaceful so far, except for pockets of violence in a few polling units.

Kingsley Onyechere, a police officer, confirmed the incident, noting that they were deployed to the PU to curtail the event. "We were called to the areas after the incident happened," he said.
