It’s the whole reason why you debate these issues, the throne is a great example of this, it means dominion and has nothing to with a physical throne, you should have no problem with this as you do that with the jugler vain verse.
There are so many hadiths that prove the Throne is a real thing, above the Heavens
The fact that it was created, it is above the water, above the heaven, above the Kursī, carried by angels, carried by Mūsa etc…
Your claim that it means domain is probably the worst of all options, because with your claim that istawā is also metaphorical ; You’d also have to say the “dominion” was once above Allāh until He made istawā over it. Plus Angels and Mūsa carrying the dominion would be shirk🤔
Ibn Mas’ūd said: Between the seventh heaven and the Footstool (al-Kursī) is five hundred years. Between the Footstool and the water is five hundred years. The Throne is above the water and Allāh is above the Throne, and none of your deeds are concealed from Him.
Ibn Abbās said: The Kursī is the place of two feet (i.e Footstool)
Regarding the Face of Allāh, the Prophet ﷺ sought refuge in His Face. This shows that it is one of His real attributes - if you claim that it meant domain, you accuse the Prophet ﷺ of worshipping the creation
I mean dominion not domain I was half asleep typing this 😭
