I am really not sure there's a singular "Self" as described by Internal Family Systems, I think it's the experience of parts coming into harmony
for me, I mean. I haven't bumped into a singular "Self" character. I know what people are pointing to when they refer to "Self energy" but to me it is more logically coherent to think of that as something done by parts. I think all cognition is in and between parts
this frame fits better when scaling up IFS into a template for social movement too. we don't need to find a super "Self" in a heroic leader, we find the healing creative courageous energy between us
