Fibonacci Retracement — A Powerful Strategy For Consistent Profits.
— A Thread —
How To Use Fibonacci Retracement?
The strategy I'll be using focuses on the 61.8% retracement level, also known as the golden ratio.
Here's a chart that demonstrates Fibonacci retracement.
The chart example showed how price encountered resistance at the 61.8% level.
Now, let's delve into a trading strategy, as that's our main objective here!
The Entry Process:
We'll focus on the golden level, 61.8%, in our trading strategy.
Our goal is to identify price reaching this level on our charts and find an entry opportunity.
Here's an example on a weekly chart, where I've removed other Fibonacci levels for clarity.
Analyze price levels on different timeframes for trading opportunities. Don't solely rely on longer-term charts.
Drill down to shorter timeframes and observe how price reacts before entering trades.
Let’s take a look at the daily timeframe of above chart.
Price rejected 61.8% Fibonacci level, forming a bearish pivot candle.
Entry short is at the break of the candle (marked 1).
Good risk-reward example.
Waiting for price reaction reduces false signals when shorting.
Trade Management Process:
Closely monitor and manage your trades by knowing when to stop or take profits.
Study patterns, such as average gains and losses, to make trade management easier.
If you typically make 2.5 times what you risk, you'll know when to take profit.
The Exit Process:
EMA is a preferred exit strategy.
Experiment with different moving average lengths on the daily chart to find the best fit.
It's an art, not a science.
Conclusion: Stick to your rules, remain disciplined, and focus on consistent profitable returns. This strategy can help you achieve success in trading, but remember there's no perfect solution. Work hard, learn, and best of luck in your trading endeavors.
