Objectively, most of the Earth is much too cold. That's why scientists call the periods of warmest climate "Climate Optimums" โ€” because they're BETTER than colder periods. Cold kills far more people than heat does. Here's a paper: thelancet.com/journals/lance twitter.com/ncdave4life/st

10/ Even at low latitudes cold kills more people than heat does. But at high latitudes the disparity is enormous. This is for the UK: sealevel.info/Gasparrini2022
The advantages of elevated CO2 for agriculture are even more important. Rising CO2 levels have raised global crop yields by at least 20%, and helped mitigate drought risks, which greatly improves global food security. sealevel.info/learnmore.html
The best scientific evidence shows that CO2 emissions are beneficial, rather than harmful. Here are some studies: sealevel.info/negative_socia
Unfortunately, Bill McKibben makes his living in the Climate Business, so he's unreceptive to that good news. sealevel.info/who_thinks_ghg
If we didn't have the better crop yields we get thanks to rising CO2 levels, we could make up the difference by putting more land under the plow. Using ALL the Earth's rainforests for agriculture would nearly suffice. twitter.com/ncdave4life/st

13/16โ–ท The major benefits of rising CO2 levels well-measured and extremely important. The major harms are all merely hypothetical, and mostly implausible. sealevel.info/MSL_graph.php? sealevel.info/Dutch_dike_vs_
To understand a heavily politicized issue like climate change, you need balanced information. I'm here to help! twitter.com/ncdave4life/st

We're talking about nearly a half billion fellow humans dealing with unprecedented heat
NE China is living the harshest heat wave in its history by far. Beijing and Tianjin had 3 consecutive days >40C, before they never had 2 consecutive 40C. Mongolia highlands again above 38C. Records fall by dozens every day and it will get worse. Weeks of record heat is ahead.
