And I can tell you that it is not specifically about Ukrainians, they can do the trick on every country. I will explain how it works. 🧵 1/22

Have you ever felt that this nazi topic appears only in 2014? Yep, your fillings aren't wrong. This topic was artificially promoted by russia. But how it works? 2/22
It is like saying that Ukraine is a country of criminals only because it has criminals in the country. Exactly, because there is no other country that has criminals in it. But to make it work, you should fill all of your media with this information 3/22
If people won't see any other alternative information, as a result, they will believe in it. And if all the media will be forcing your information. People will believe that it is a really huge problem. Mix this information with fakes to make it look more massive 4/22
How to make all the media follow you? Well, the media likes sensations, just give it to them. "Your government giving money directly to [spookie bad something] 😱" it could be criminals, nazis, pineapples in pizza, pirates, reptiloids. It only should be a half-true 5/22
It is not hard to portray other countries as nazi states. During WW2 most of the countries were somehow participating in the war. There were a lot of collaborators and sympathizers. Just look at a map of a nazi collaborators monuments. Yep they aren't just in Ukraine 6/22
Just take a look at Europe. Half of it can be sized by russia if you believe that the "Bandera" argument is legit 7/22
But then you will say: "Hey, but take a look at the map, there are plenty of countries that don't have those monuments". Yes, I also was thinking about it, and then I remembered about Finland and Sweden. Let's take a look at this case closely. 8/22
According to this map, 🇫🇮 and 🇸🇪 don't have any nazi collaborators monuments. But in 2022 there were rumors that Finland and Sweden were both planning to become NATO members - russia is been forced quickly to make a plan on how they can prevent it. 9/22 iltalehti.fi/politiikka/a/d
So russia started to threaten Finland with different types of responses to it even a military one 10/22 dw.com/ru/moskva-ugro
But what was more interesting is that russia even launched a fearmongering campaign against Sweden. 11/22
russia started to collect information about famous Sweden people and portray them as nazi sympathizers. 12/22 x.com/ChrChristensen

Anti-Swedish propaganda posters being put up in Russia portraying Swedish icons like Astrid Lindgren (Pippi Longstocking), Ingmar Bergman & IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad as Nazi supporters. (Kamprad was member of neo-Nazi groups in youth, but other two clearly ridiculous.)
I think they could have continued it, but in one month Finland became a NATO member, and russia withdrew its fearmongering propaganda together with its forces from the border with Finland.Yep,NATO is something that russia isn't afraid according to it 13/22 frontnews.eu/en/news/detail
So as you can see it is not only about monuments. It also can be nazi organizations. For example, russia has 24 while Ukraine only 3. And even knowing this nobody is looking at russia as a nazi state 🤷 14/22
russia basically has more neo-nazis organizations than the country that basically invented nazism. Denazification you said? Yeah, but russia still using it as an argument. If you see your country on the list, there is a chance russia will knock on your doors. 15/22
Also, as a side question. Would you allow the far-right to be a volunteer in your army during total war? A nationalist? Or do you prefer only liberals there? Yep, the army serves mostly conservative nationalists and far-right. Without them, there will be no big armies 16/22
This is not a secret that the farright is the most willable group to serve in the army.If there is a total war in your country, they will be the first who will go fight as volunteers. Each country has its own extremists and they serve in the army too 17/22 politico.eu/article/german
russia is also using far-right radical battalions. One of the most famous is "Rusich". This battalion is making a really bad reputation for russia. They are using them as a tool for denazification 🤦 But still, the vocality of russian propaganda is louder than it 18/22
Another topic that russia was using as fearmongering propaganda against Ukraine was three far-right parties in Ukraine - they are extremely unpopular but russian bot farm is constantly using it as "solid" proof. Just check if your country has also far-right parties 19/22
In fact, russia has a much more influential far-right party(ЛДПР) with an open imperialistic ideology. But still, this fact is less vocal than all the russian lies about Ukraine. 20/22
You can be fully against nazism, but if russia will need a pretext to invade you, it will find a reason. It will portray you as the most dangerous evil on the earth. Because all countries have sins in their history. russia will just amplify them to a necessary level 21/22
But real evil is those who are going against the UN Charter This is not populism, this is international law - the law that was broken by russia 22/22
