So eCO2 is especially beneficial in arid regions, and especially beneficial for crops which are under drought stress. Corn (maize) has been very heavily studied. Even though it is a C4 grass (and C4 plants are better at enduring low CO2 levels), corn benefits greatly from elevated CO2, especially under drought stress.
