the mha manga's intended colors for characters that the anime changes - a thread

(someone probably alrdy did this so im sawri in advancei just wanna keep track of these)

starting off w my fave, tenya was supposed to have red eyes instead of blue !

when in use, aizawa's quirk turns his eyes into gold/yellow unlike the anime which opted for red

afo's eye color in the manga is white (also confirmed in volume 40), not like the anime's red

fuyumi was supposed to be blue eyed instead of grey

aoyama was Also intended to be blue eyed instead of the anime's purple

this one is a robbery: mina's acid was originally purple, but the anime changed it to white/translucent

present mic is an odd case: i think he was originally intended to have red eyes, but then hori decided to adhere to the animes change as he drew him with green eyes (from what i can see ?) consistently since

this one is interesting too, tomura's hair color after he got his quirk was Supposed to be white . i think horikoshi had changed his mind from the blue after the 3rd volume as he consistently drew him with white hair ever since (& this was before his quirk awakening/MVA)

kendo was supposed to have green eyes instead of blue/dark cyan

spinner's eye and hair color was supposed to be pink/magenta instead of purple/red !

(btw im not gonna consider the official manga volume coloring thats been releasing lately, im only considering the coloring horikoshi himself did)

giran was supposed to have pink eyes instead of the anime's grey/brownish

muscular had blue eyes instead of the dark grey/black in the anime

er so midnight's hero costume was supposed to be flesh colored but was changed to white (which , yeahhh i can see why)

you kinda have to Really squint to see it, but manga eri has white hair while the anime is pale blue-grey ! (there is other official art that makes this more obvious) and her horn is gold instead of muted brown
