Meir Ben-Shitrit, one of the Israeli army reservists suspected of raping a Palestinian hostage at Sde Teiman, describes his time during interrogation: "The military police treated us really nice... You see the support.. With a hand on their heart, like, telling you 'thank you'."
Ben Shitrit lives in Kiryat Arba, settlement adjacent to Hebron, where Ben Gvir also lives. The two know each other and are probably friends.
In this video from Sde Teiman we see Ben Shitrit was the main agitator of the initial riots. I do wonder how he was released so fast...
I learnt the identity of Ben Shitrit already on the night of the riots, when his sister, Oriyan Ben Shitrit, gave interviews outside the Beit Lid army base, which was later broken into by the rioters (including armed soldiers).

Ben Shitrit also likes to harass visitors who come to educational tours in Hebron, organized by different leftist groups (e.g. @שוברים שתיקה)

Tonight Ben Shitrit was hosted on Channel 14's talk show HaPatriotim.
He wore a mask and was identified as "M."
He condemned the reporter who released the rape footage, asked the public not to break into bases (!) and claimed that his unit always did everything according to law.
Ben Shitrit is a part of Kiryat Arba's armed response unit, and has been serving in the IDF for many years. I wonder what horrible shit he did over time when no cameras were around.
I also wonder if there wasn't coordination between him and his neighbor on the day of the riots.
Bibists and right wing activists started spreading news about Ben Shitrit being dismissed from service following his appearance on TV tonight. Possibly just a spin to fan the flames and incite against the military prosecutor, but we'll see.
