Figured out why CN players are protesting... They're feeling insulted saying that Americans are bullying a Chinese company. And that Westerners are shameless/greedy. Even asked mhy which side they're on (assuming it's referring to US vs CN). And they also called SAG-Aftra mafia

To summarize: CN players don't like NA/SAG-Aftra's attitude where they treat the Chinese (company) as a pushover/doormat, so they will force the Union VAs out of the voice cast by boycotting Hoyo/Mhy's game. SAG-Aftra forgot how prideful the Chinese people are lolol

And since we know how much power the CN whales have over Hoyo/Mhy from past events in the HI3rd community, their demands will likely be met. The problematic VAs will in other words get recasted because Hoyo/Mhy can't afford losing the group that fund their games

HoYoverse/miHoyo represent China and SAG-Aftra represent America. What the CN players see is America trying to bully their country. No wonder they want to force Peng Bo to recast the individuals that are hurting the Chinese's pride and even asking which side he's on

I think I need to summarize some things... 1) SAG-AFTRA made a $5 billions deal with AI (Forbes) 2) HoYoverse moved VAs away from Formosa after Corina was denied payment by them 3) Keqing's VA is permitted to work on a non union project (Nikke) despite representing SAG-AFTRA

4) Genshin's current studio is Side Global which hasn't made any official AI protection announcements yet, but likely does offer protection 5) HoYoverse isn't among the companies SAG-AFTRA is striking against (there is a list)

6) SAG-AFTRA tried to rope ZZZ into their "AI protection agreement" despite that ZZZ has signed a contract with Sound Candence that has stated that they have AI protection in an official announcement

7) China has one single legal national trade union that does not allow enterprises to be affiliated with independent unions that aren't affiliated their trade union organization 8) Independent unions is illegal in Singapore, and trade unions are heavily regulated there

As a former big spender on this game (2-3 years ago), I am simply not okay with SAG-AFTRA trying to leech off of the money that players are contributing with. How do you think the game devs became rich? My only target is SAG-AFTRA. Other things don't matter for me.

The VAs drama is none of my business, that's something they should solve on their own as professionals. No, Hoyo isn't just "a billionaire company" by default, they were funded by players. The reason players are pissed at SAG-AFTRA is because they are after THEIR money.

AI protection isn't an issue, and worst of all, they partnered with Replica Studio. Giving them monopoly and caving into their extortion would hurt the non union VA industry more. They don't need the union that works with AI, they need protection which other studios can give.

Also people that are having issues with Reddit users... It might be surprising to you, but their focus is 100% SAG-AFTRA and trying to dissect the contract. Hence, the song they wrote to summarize their feelings is solely focusing on SAG-AFTRA.

I saw a few comments about the VAs but that lost priority after the contract was shared. They were silenced and mass reported because they were summarizing/discussing what was in the contract and did a lot of research on their own that they shared in the community.

Which is why I agree they shouldn't have been silenced and sympathize with them. That union is literally holding their VAs hostage too, taking away their freedom while flexing their AI deals.

I'm going to sleep. But I hope that people are realizing what SAG-AFTRA is trying to pull in public with their post. They are preying on a non union VA's project, since ZZZ signed with Sound Candence that belongs to Furina's non union VA. And they already HAVE AI protection.

Maybe other things can be justified by US law or US history, but this act is absolutely not something that can be excused. It is just greed and nothing else. This act only shows disrespect towards a non union VA and it's the exact thing we are fearing.
