The government approved $40B in spending from April 1 - May 15 through a special warrant. This was done because Parliament is prorogued and it’s not possible to make appropriations. The only information shared with Canadians is a list of departments and the total amount. According to the document, “the appropriate Ministers have reported that the payment of these sums is urgently required for the public good”. We’ll leave it to you to decide. Let’s dive in
