The final declaration of the PKK's 12th Congress has been released. "The Congress decided to dissolve the PKK’s organizational structure and end the armed struggle, thereby terminating all activities carried out under the name of the PKK." - ANF

The PKK also announced that their senior member Fuat-ALI HAYDAR KAYTAN, was killed on July 3, 2018, and Comrade RIZA ALTUN, was killed on September 25, 2019

Top PKK leaders Murat Karayilan and Cemil Bayik both were at the PKK 12th Congress.

PKK: "We fully believe our people will best understand the decision to dissolve the PKK and end the armed struggle, and will fulfill the tasks of the democratic struggle period through democratic society building."

PKK: "The decision by our Congress to dissolve the PKK and end the armed struggle provides a strong foundation for lasting peace and a democratic solution. Implementing these decisions requires (PKK) Leader Apo (Ocalan) to lead the process, recognition of the right to democratic politics, and solid legal guarantees"

The PKK said that the Turkish parliament "must assume its historic responsibility" and called on govt and opposition parties "to assume responsibility and join the peace and democratic society process."
