Anecdata: I “wrote” 162k lines of code, or approximately 6,750 a day for last 24 days, for the current project.
Offering this mostly as one data point on how productive the symbiote of an engineer and the LLMs can be.
As to how comparable it will be with other projects and numbers:
1) Pretty brutal crunch mode that would be unsustainable for me over longer than a month but not, I think, foreign to experience of salarymen or startup founders in their 20s. (I am in 40s and body screaming).
2) I would assume productivity goes up with familiarity with these tools and also programming generally, of which I have 24 days and 35 years respectively. But I have only occasionally done material programming in last ~9 years.
