BREAKING: I have a leaked email from a Democratic Socialists of America national convention delegate saying that "the left–meaning DSA–is not ready to govern [New York] City."
"'The second worst thing that could happen would be to win.' The first would be finishing last."
"When DSA endorsed Zohran, most of us did not expect him to win. We thought he would be a credible spokesperson for our platform and that we could 'Build DSA.'"
"We also recognized, in soft, 'indoor' voices, that the left—meaning DSA—is not ready to govern the City. One leader of the chapter whispered 'the second worst thing that could happen would be to win.' The first would be finishing last."
The email was from a New York City Democratic Socialists of America delegate to the 2025 DSA National Convention in Chicago.
