And here's part of the the N&O's story following the KKK march in Durham Hoax, that had a giant photo of Dixon, and which notes Dixon is a member of Redneck Revolt; a cited affiliate of the John Brown Gun Club.
http://archive.today/rDVJ8 N&O's sister paper the Durham Herald did a whole profile on Redneck Revolt titled "They’re leftists with guns. Meet the Redneck Revolt."
That article also featured Dixon and others, who gave a description of RR as some kind of humanitarian group went unchallenged in the article.
https://archive.ph/Qn0yNDixon, as a member of "the ANTIFA group known as “Redneck Revolt," made Turning Point USA's Professor Watchlist.
The profile includes Dixon's 2018 Harvard speech, in which he decried "various conservatives who were extended the opportunity to speak at colleges around the country. He equates universities’ embrace of free speech to the facilitation of the rise of fascism in America. Dr. Dixon further derides the “politics of passivity” of those who embrace the merits of debating all ideas within a university, stating the moral high ground is 'for those who wish to drown in blood'.”
https://www.professorwatchlist.org/professor/dwayne-dixon…Dixon also has a profile on the website "Antifa Watch," which identifies and tracks Antifa member.
https://antifawatch.net/ViewReport/885ba284…And for those w/ short memories, in 2017 Dixon was later ID'd as the man carrying rifle during a pop-up counter protest in response to a rumor that the KKK was marching in Durham.

The entire thing was a hoax.
That rumor was floated by a number of people, including Durham City Council member Jillian Johnson.
