#RAF Royal Air Force - Fleet Status November 2025 I want to keep this somewhat regular, so this is the November refresh of my RAF fleet status. Here I try to keep track of Tanker, Transport, ISR and now (sort of) Combat aircraft operated by His Majesty's Royal Air Force. Just to note again, all information here is collected from FlightRadar, ACARS or some other freely available source. Nothing is special or secretive about this information and is easily available to anyone else that went in search of it. Tankers: Things are looking pretty much the same here with nine tankers active with the RAF. ZZ334 has now flown since the last update marked it as inactive, whereas ZZ338 hasn't flown since 9 November (19 days). Two are currently operated by AirTanker, and another two are leased to Jet2. Seven tankers are at Brize Norton, including ZZ338. ZZ333 is at Akrotiri on Op Shader, and ZZ334 is on the Falklands. /2

Transports: We're still looking at four active C-17's. ZZ174 is now active and last flew on 25 November after a short time inactive. The currently inactive airframes are: ZZ171 - 19 July, no change ZZ175 - 26 August, no change ZZ176 - 14 November ZZ178 - 11 November 2024, no change (San Antonio) Of twenty-two A400M's (Atlas C.1) six are inactive, an improvement on eight inactive since last update. Only one is now in Madrid, with ZM408 and ZM419 having returned. ZM402 - 14 June, no change ZM409 - 14 November ZM410 - 30 October ZM416 - 18 September, no change ZM417 - 22 October ZM421 - 23 June, no change (Madrid) /3

Reconnaissance / AEW&C: Seven of nine Poseidon MRA.1s are active. Three are currently based at Keflavik with two having recently arrived back at Lossiemouth. One Poseidon is inactive on the ground at Lossie (ZP809, 2 October), and ZP801 flew to Indianapolis on 30 October. Two RC-135 Rivet Joint's are active at Waddington, with the other (ZZ665) still in Greenville and flew in August as SAME40. This callsign is used by RC-135s at the L3-Harris site in Greenville. The single Wedgetail AEW.1, WT001, flew today 28 November from MoD Boscombe Down to Birmingham Airport. The status of WT002 and WT003 is still unknown. I have tried to look at the Shadow R.1's this time. Five appear to be active at Waddington, and three I was unable to determine the current status of. Finally, eight of sixteen Protector RG.1's have been spotted on tracking sites. /4

Combat Air: This is a difficult category because the F-35's rely on in-person sightings, and not all Typhoon FGR.4's show on tracking sites. I've decided to start with the F-35B's as I already was making a list of their serials and hex numbers. I have noted the dates they were reported to have returned to Marham from Prince of Wales. All jets have now returned from HMS Prince of Wales. Five jets are reportedly in the United States - four at Edwards AFB for training and one at NAS Patuxent River. If there is interest, I will try to look at the status of the active Typhoon's for next time. /5

Summary: That concludes this update! The situation on the Atlas C.1 and Poseidon MRA.1 has improved. Last time the Poseidon fleet was heavily active in the North Sea and Norwegian Sea which explains the downtime for some of them. Any corrections, suggestions, etc, please let me know! Thanks again!
