Kazakhstan Has No Choice. It Changes Oil Export Route After Attack on Novorossiysk
Following a nighttime attack by Ukrainian naval drones on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium's marine terminal in Novorossiysk, Kazakhstan has announced that it is forced to seek alternative routes for its oil exports.
The Kazakh Ministry of Energy confirmed that one of the key berthing facilities was seriously damaged and will be taken out of service until repairs are completed. The government has urgently activated an emergency plan to change the transit route.
Last year, Kazakhstan exported over 4 million tons of oil via the terminal.
Meanwhile, the Unian agency published footage that allegedly shows the drone attack on the port in Novorossiysk.
