1/Denys Davydov - a name that you would've likely heard of if you spend any amount of time following a war in Ukraine. He has cemented himself as one of the most influential figures covering the war, but is also one of the most misleading, and I aim to expose what he has done.

2/ Garnering over 900,000 subscribers on his main channel, Denys is undoubtably reaping the benefits from his coverage. He has more than 700 million total channel views, an astronomical amount for a topic like this. He is well-known for his highly-propagandised and click-baity titles, like "Great! Russia failed on frontline with multiple attacks", all the while conveniently ignoring almost any negative news for Ukraine.

3/Denys was born in Crimea, and lived in Ukraine until fleeing in January 2023. He is a self-admitted draft dodger, and now lives in a peaceful residence in the Swiss Alps. I have nothing against draft dodgers in Ukraine, and I wish them all the best. It was a smart move, but there's a reason why this case is different.

4/Despite posting heavily propagandised content on his main channel, Denys actually holds very different opinions to what he says. On his significantly smaller second channel, he openly admits that Ukraine "must change or it is doomed", and has repeatedly talked about Ukraine's biggest issues.

5/Despite Denys' opinions evolving over time, the content on his main channel remains the same. This is done to cater to his brain-washed audience, who consume his content as what I like to call "comfort media". He has actually stated his intentions on his second channel.

6/Additionally, in late 2024, back when Denys used my maps in his videos, he admitted to me in Twitter DMs that he supports peace negotiations - a stance that I also hold, and have seen people frequently label as a pro-Russian take. Interestingly, I have never seen Denys admit this publicly, despite him supposedly wanting the best for Ukraine.

7/Also, it's important to note that in November 2024, Denys realised that my maps didn't support the narrative he was trying to push. He then falsely accused me of supporting Russia in November 2025 on his new Twitter account, like so many others.

8/More recently, Denys has decided to play victim, while he makes millions living in his safe home in the Swiss Alps, while his fellow Ukrainian soldiers die en masse, and as he continues to lie to millions of people about the war,... all in the name of furthering his own career.

9/This tactic is absolutely deplorable to me. He is WELL AWARE of the true situation in Ukraine, but continues to lie to EVERYONE. I truly think Denys has blood on his hands, and he has certainly betrayed his own people. That being said, I don't want anyone harassing him. I haven't mentioned anything about his dox for a reason. I felt like this was important to talk about, due to how popular he is. This thread simply aims to shed light on the disgusting tactics being employed by Denys, as he attempts to exploit this terrible, terrible war for as much profit as possible.
