madein is a 7 member girl group under 143 entertainment that debuted on september 3, 2024 with the mini-album rise. previously, miu, suhye, and gaeun were in limelight, mashiro and yeseo were in kep1er, and serina and nagomi were contestants from produce 101 japan the girls.
in november, fans (mabys) noticed how gaeun has been inactive for the majority of the month and wiped out her instagram. it was at first not concerning as she had done this in the past but later, on november 11th, 143 announced she was on a health hiatus.
on november 22nd, a video from JTBC surfaced a blurred video of a 7 member group performing, which was revealed to be madein. gaeun was allegedly sexually harassed by the ceo of 143 for 2 hours after this concert madein adventure. she was kicked out from madein on november 28th.
hanbit center later posted an article about a company (entertainment agency a) being sued due to unpaid music video wages.
what proved it was 143 was the mention of a "natural" version as well as the sexual harassment charges.

The agency isn't mentioned, however, other details in the article such as the fact that there is a "natural version" of the music video, and the group debuted in September, shows that this could be about 143 Entertainment and their group MADEIN
The article shares information that the agency in question allegedly withheld over half of the production costs for more than three months and demanded the MV production company to reduce payments owed, or else they would sue them for defamation
The agency claimed that issues with the MV (Note: it could be due to the AI which was used, due to the fact that a 'Natural Ver' MV was created under the agency's request) caused financial loses for the agency, so the payment they owe should be reduced, due to "contract breaches" however, the production company says that there is no concrete evidence.
in january, 143 announced madein would make a comeback as 6 members. 143 began blocking fans who commented with boycott or pro ot7 tags on madeins official account.

@ everyone not boycotting, literally what kind of innocent party/competent business would display this level of unprofessionalism…
madein's cb went through, sadly enough, but fans were increasingly concerned about the styling of the members, as nagomi (then 17 at the time) was dressed in a thong bodysuit. given 143 allegations it paints a darker picture.

nagomi is the youngest member of the group (born 2nd july 2007) and she is still a minor. who in their right mind would think this is appropriate, especially since the bodysuit itself has a thong
despite lee yong hak's claims he wouldn't be around the madein members following the allegations, he was seen following the madein members when the members attended paris fashion week.
on april 28th, 2025, gaeun posted a letter to her fans on instagram, revealing that the recording was sent to JTBC without her knowledge & aspects of the story contained lies and that her mother has scheduled a press conference the next day at 10am kst with hanbit center.
during the press conference on april 29th, gaeun's mother, alongside members of the hanbit center and former 143 employee heo yujeong discussed gaeun's cases and her experiences.
gaeun's mother's testimony revealed that lee yong hak would create drama amongst the group, that communication between the members and their family/friends were blocked, and that he had been engaging in physical contact with the members, which got worse after graduation.
according to her, gaeun wanted to continue with madein, as she loved her fans. lee yong hak was revealed to have written an apology which confessed his crimes and his intentions to step back from the group; however he kept interfering in their activities.
heo yujeong revealed she has recruited members including gaeun. she alleged that the ceo had favouritism towards trainees, dating back to his yg days. she also alleged that verbal and minor physical harassment began when gaeun was a minor and escalated after her graduation.
since then, suhye was put on hiatus in may due to "health reasons" and later on may 14th 2025 she was put on indefinite hiatus. yeseo was later excluded from madein activities, with no announcements of hiatus. eventually they both suspended their activities as of december 2025.
while suhye and yeseo were left hanging during the period may-december, the japanese members debuted as a japanese subunit called madein s, with the single "made in blue".
and now onto today, madein is scheduled to make a comeback with "girl meets boy" on february 9, 2026. teasers were released for the members, and while the album packaging may "seem appealing" please remember to boycott madein regardless of how good the cb is!!
