When the Dutch RDW approved FSD on April 10, this Lithuanian owner thought: why wait for Brussels? He launched a one-man offensive. He filled out official forms on the government portal and bombarded the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration (LTSA) with the Dutch RDW type-approval documentation. (2/5)

To turn up the heat, he got local journalists involved to pressure the ministry. And it worked! Earlier this week, he suddenly received an official email from the government: "Thank you for your request. We have reviewed it and approved it as an exception based on the Dutch RDW approval." The "Wild Theory" now blowing up on forums (Reddit/TFF): Tesla Europe was COMPLETELY caught off guard by Lithuania's speed.
When andriuslink walked into the local Tesla Store with his official approval, employees nervously responded with: "We cannot comment on this at this time." Tesla was heavily focused on the West-European test phase (DE/FR/IT) running until May 31! (4/5)

But since the government had already said 'yes', Tesla had to pivot fast. The first updates (for HW4) are now officially rolling out in Lithuania and the flag is live in the app. This proves: the "Dutch Route" has started a massive domino effect. European countries don't have to wait for central EU legislation. Who’s next?
