In 2022, Russia included much of the same “never before seen” intelligence in a presentation to the UN meant to justify its illegal invasion of Ukraine. While it would be alarming coming from any U.S. government official, it is of particular concern to see the (now-former) head of the U.S. intelligence community use her final days in office to reignite a decades-old conspiracy theory by employing the very tactics that our adversaries have long used to deceive the American people.
