One of the biggest upgrades in Seedance 2.5 is support for up to 50 reference assets. We wanted to see how well it could use multiple character, prop, and environment references to build a believable scene. Honestly, the results were pretty wild. It brought in a surprising number of the props we uploaded, but one of my favorite details was how it handled the supporting characters. Instead of making everyone the main character, it naturally placed the shopkeeper and background actors into the scene, slightly out of focus, which made everything feel much more realistic. The physics were also impressive. Now, it definitely wasn't perfect. The main character randomly turned into the Green Lantern at the end, the fox wasn't inside the glass case like we intended, and the pocket watches were weirdly connected by a single chain. Even with those quirks, this feels like a really interesting glimpse into where reference-driven filmmaking is headed.
