the door swings open, and there jimin is, in one of those stupid oversized sweaters that yoongi loves so much, fingers barely peeking over the sleeves. “hyung.” jimin says quietly. yoongi swallows. “hey.” they stand in silence, the streetlights casting shadows on their faces.

it's a few moments before yoongi takes a deep breath, stepping towards jimin slightly. “look, i- i’m not good with this... feelings stuff. it took me ages to even figure myself out. so... i'm sorry. if this isn't what you expected." he pauses to take another breath, cheeks hot.

"you... you’re really cute, and i want to do things like hold your hand and take you to nice places, and apparently that means i like you. i don’t know how this works, but if you don’t feel the same way, please just tell me before-“ “hyung,” jimin whispers. yoongi freezes.

“hyung,” he says again, a small smile making its way onto his face. he steps forward, leaning up onto his tiptoes, hands coming up to clutch at yoongi’s shirt, “the answer. it was yes.” he presses a soft kiss to the rapper's cheek. "i like you too."

there’s a slight rustle from one of the bushes near the fence, and taehyung’s dishevelled head pops out. “THAT’S MY BOY, JIMINIE,” he screeches, and then ducks when jimin throws a shoe at him. “sorry, continue.”
